Roll in shower part 2

Hello! I am going to run through products I have tried to make my bathroom more accessible for me.

Let’s start with the shower.

Roll in shower

I changed the shower head to a wand style with the option to turn the spray on/off at the handle. The shower still needs to be turned on/off and the temperature selected at the wall controls. There are many options to add a shower wand holder to the shower wall, grab bars, and shower seats.

To ensure the water stays in the shower, I added a second row of shower curtain rings to “lengthen” the curtain and liner to the shower floor.

Shower shoes. I stand/pivot transfer and my bare feet spasm when they touch cold anything. So, I need shoes to get in and out of the shower. I wanted to give my feet a bath during the shower while wearing the shoes. This led me first to rubber nurse shoes. These had no drain holes and trapped water under the insoles which made removing them tricky. I like my Sperry Foamie shoes. They have plenty of holes for soap and water to flow through.

That leaves the shower chair. I chose a sturdy medal x leg frame support with a plastic seat, plastic seat back, and arm rests. I use waffle pattern hand towels on the plastic for comfort and to reduce sliding.

Next, I will describe my entrance ramps.
